v is for weirdo
Monday, December 04, 2006
it was just a matter of time that it would get noticed. and who else to notice it but my sister.
that every single time i do my grocery...after carefully and painstakingly weighing the necessity of items not necessarily included in my list...after comparing prices and quality and quality for price...after changing my mind on a couple of things a couple of times...
when i have to pay at the check-out counter, i always end up leaving a few items in the cart.
every single, freaking time i do my grocery, there are some things deliberately, intentionally left behind in the cart.
and i enjoy doing it.
aaaaah...weirdo.
weirdo and loving it.

I only leave things behind if they are not the price I thought they were. A number of stores over here (Canada) have a Right Price guarantee, if the price something scans at is wrong, they will give you up to $10 off or the cost of the item (Whichever is less).
Needless to say, I am often shopping with an eye on finding somwthing that is priced wrong. I have gotten a few things for free and $10 off on others.
I suspect shopping with you would drive me crazy. I just like to get in and get out. For me, shopping and browsing are two different things. If I am browsing, I am not shopping - I don't buy anything. - At 7:47 AM, December 06, 2006, said...

in some states, you pump gas (or get pumped) before you pay. In others, like, california, you pay before you pump.
this has happened more than a few times:
I get off the freeway, find a gas station, drive up to the gas pump, get out of the car, go up to the cashier, pay for the gas, get back in the car, roll back in the freeway.
At the freeway, I look down at the gas gauge and wonder why it reads 'empty' when as a matter of fact I was just at the g*ddam gas station.
the next expletive is directed at myself:
"you f*cking IDIOT"

Ate Vina, noh, you are not a weirdo. That is what I'd do too ---sometimes. Hehe.
I guess it's more like a habit, 'cause there are certain things that in the end you'd figure that you don't need it.
:P
