You may have a learned dependency on having a chauffeur. There is nothing wrong with that, but you need to be honest about it.

I didn’t get my driver’s license until I was 24 (pretty late in Canada, when most get it at 16 – but, I never needed to drive, so I had no interest in getting it earlier).

Oh, and the trick to driving is to have confidence (not cockiness or arrogance) in yourself and be aware of everything around you. I am sure you can do it.
